It's said he's at risk of organ failure.
A representative for Katie told The Sun: "His condition is very dangerous and Katie is terrified.
"He has a temperature of 42 degrees and is struggling to breathe.
"One of his conditions is adrenal failure that could cause his organs to fail and is very dangerous."
Katie later revealed Harvey, whose father is Dwight Yorke, was in intensive care.
Updating her fans on Instagram, Katie wrote: "I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands and would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable ."
A source later told the newspaper that Katie was preparing for the worst.
They said: "Katie has been preparing herself for this moment all his life and she’s been told Harvey is in a perilous condition.
"She’s been here before, but this time it’s far more serious.
"She’s trying to be tough and strong, but inside she’s falling apart and feels helpless."
It comes not long after Harvey was taken to hospital in an ambulance after falling ill at sister Princess' 13th birthday party.
He had returned home and was said to be recovering well under his loving mum's care.
Now, he has been rushed straight to a specialist paediatric hospital.
Harvey, who is also partially sighted and on the autistic spectrum, took ill during Princess' recent party at their mum's rented Surrey mansion.
Doctors carried out tests and thought he was showing the beginnings of a chest infection, but he was expected to make a full recovery.
He appeared in a video alongside his mum and was heard saying he was doing good and was happy to be back home.
Katie explained after returning home that she had called an ambulance after Harvey began complaining of chest pains.
Katie and Harvey are due to appear together in an emotional BBC documentary.
The very personal film, called Katie Price: Harvey and Me, will show her at home and away from the spotlight as she cares for her son and other children, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, six, and Bunny, five.
The documentary will also focus on the "vital decisions" Katie faces as Harvey grows into an adult.
The 42-year-old recently made the heartbreaking confession that she hopes he dies before her, because she doesn't know how he'll cope without her.
Katie opened up to The Sun about how doctors had warned her that Harvey is at risk of a heart attack if he doesn't lose weight.
He currently weighs 27 stone and wears size 5XL clothes.
Katie said: "I know it’s horrible to say, but I wish he’d go before me because he wouldn't cope without me.
"He’d be so heartbroken and wouldn't understand where I’d gone."
