Hon. Comrade Francis Obule, the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, has urged the leadership of the Ozue District to continue their unwavering support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his MORE Agenda, which has been making significant strides in the state’s development.
Obule made the call during an appreciation visit by the Ozue District Exco from Sapele, who gathered at his Edjeba residence in Warri to thank him for his substantial contributions to the successful Ozue Day celebration.
In his address, Obule emphasized the importance of continued loyalty to Governor Oborevwori, describing him as a leader sent by God to lead Delta State to greater heights, much like Moses led the Israelites to the Promised Land.
He thanked the Ozue District leadership for their support during the recent election and assured them that Ozue remains his home. He pledged to do everything within his power to bring accelerated development to the district.
Obule also stressed that progress in Delta State relies on collective effort, urging all Deltans, particularly the Okpes, to stand by Governor Oborevwori as the moving train of progress continues until 2031.
He also promised to work with relevant authorities to lobby for critical projects in Ozue, including a Youth Cooper's lodge, a Community Town Hall, and a secondary school.
Commending the leadership of the current Ozue District Exco under Mr. Josiah Eleko, Obule praised their inclusive approach to governance.
He assured the visiting Exco members that he would leverage his office to push for the district's continued development.
Obule also expressed his gratitude to stakeholders who have supported Ozue’s development, including Hon. Jamani Tommy Ejiro, Commissioner for Environment, the Sapele Local Government Chairman, Hon. Bright Abeka, for approving the construction of the Ozue Modern Market, as well as other notable figures like Engr. Kingsley Aghomishe, Bishop Kingsley Majemite, Dr. David Oghenekevwe, and Simon Biokoro, among many others.
King Friday Obule, a prominent Warri-based business tycoon, also attended the event and praised the Ozue District Exco for their visit. He pledged to go beyond his comfort zone to ensure further development for the district.
Earlier, Mr. Josiah Eleko, the President-General of Ozue District from Okegborode Community, expressed the Exco’s gratitude for Obule’s pivotal role in the success of the recent Ozue Day.
He acknowledged that Obule's efforts had brought hope to the district through various projects and developments.
Eleko urged Obule to continue advocating for the completion of ongoing road projects and for new initiatives in the district, including the construction of the Cooper’s lodge, secondary school, and Town Hall.
Mr. Williams Ikoyo, Deputy President-General from Okuodede 1 Community, while delivering the vote of thanks, pleaded with Obule to push for more developmental projects in Ozue.
He reaffirmed the district’s full support for the MORE Agenda of Governor Oborevwori.
The Chief Whip, Mr. Francis Ikoyo from Okuodede 2 Community, along with other members of the Exco, prayed for continued blessings upon Governor Oborevwori and acknowledged the positive impact that Obule’s appointment as a Senior Special Assistant has had on the community.
The collective sentiment from the visiting Exco members highlighted their commitment to the governor’s development agenda and their trust in Obule’s leadership in championing the district’s progress.
