Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has called US President Donald Trump “an anathema” to American values, adding that he "has to go."
“Here’s one big thing we agree on. Donald Trump is an anathema to our values. Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in American history,” said Perez, the former Labor secretary in the Obama administration, according to The Los Angeles Times.
“Donald Trump has to go. And that is why we must work together as Democrats,” he said during the California Democratic Party convention in Los Angeles.
He also ridiculed the Republican president for his what he called “bromance” with Russian President Vladimir Putin and pushed to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
On Friday, German news magazine Der Spiegel argued that Trump is a danger to the world that must be removed from the White House before things get even worse.
“Donald Trump is not fit to be president of the United States. He does not possess the requisite intellect and does not understand the significance of the office he holds nor the tasks associated with it,” Klaus Brinkbäumer wrote in an editorial.
Last month, a group of American psychiatrists warned that Trump has a "dangerous mental illness" and is unfit to lead the country.
Over thirty mental health experts noted that Trump was “paranoid and delusional” and that they were responsible for warning Americans about the “dangers” Trump poses.
“We have an ethical responsibility to warn the public about Donald Trump's dangerous mental illness,” they said.
