A man's body has been found in the carpark lift of a Westfield shopping centre in Melbourne early this morning.
A group doing personal training in the carpark of Westfield Doncaster Shopping Centre called emergency services after finding an injured man just after 6.10am AEDT (8.10am NZDT), Daily Mail reports.
Paramedics were called but the man - who was reported to be aged in his 40s by Nova 100 News - died at the scene before they arrived.
Homicide Squad detectives are on scene, which has been cordoned off, although the exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be established.
Victoria Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious but were waiting for further details from Homicide detectives on scene.
A media spokesman for Victoria Ambulance told Daily Mail Australia that paramedics responded to a call at 6.10am but the man had died by the time they arrived.
The spokesman was unable to provide any details about the injuries sustained by the man.
