Kanye West Plans To Boycott The Grammy's,Explains Why He Stood Up For Beyonce

After his public rant over Beyonce losing a Grammy to Beck,Kanye was on the Ryan Seacrest show to set the record straight but ended up in yet another lengthy rant.He explained why he stood up for Beyonce and vowed not to attend the Grammy's until the voting system is fixed.
  'You know, I felt like just the whole Grammys, right when that happened, everybody was looking at me and then people started screaming, ''Kanye! Kanye! Go do it!''
'Ok, that didn’t really happen, these were voices in my head. So the voices in my head told me go and then I just walked up like halfway up the stage.'

You know, what I really wanted to do is just joke around about what had happened before, but I just really didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment or the time he’s having to talk because you know the Grammys, they play music really quick no matter who you are and everything.
'So I just walked back down because you know, it was kind of a joke like the Grammys themselves.Saying he would like to play basketball with Beck one day, Kanye came the closest yet to apologising.
'First of all Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game.'So, there’s nothing that I will want to do as a fellow musician to disrespect him in any way.' 

Kanye also claims Beck admitted Beyonce deserved the award.

'Beck afterwards literally said ''I think Beyonce should have won.''' 

Well you know what happened? It’s because I sat there and I kind of let that smoulder and I was asked my opinion and I was given a platform. And when given a platform, it’s very hard as we know - and I'm going to talk in third person like I'm a crazy person - but it's very hard for Kanye West to not be very true and vocal to what he feels.'

Kanye did admit he misspoke when he accused Beck of not respecting artistry.

'When I said that thing about respect artistry, I think it came off the wrong way, and that was a mis-wording on my part because obviously Beck is one the most respected artists and respects artistry... but I felt that even though the Grammys sometimes gives awards to people who you wouldn’t think should win in the category, as a respect to artists, we mention the other artist’s name in our speech.'

Kanye also vowed not to go to the Grammy's until the voting system is fixed

'I will not go to the Grammys [again] until I sit with Neil [Portnow], sit with Jimmy Jam, and fix the voting system so that it is more in line with the popular vote as those who are popular are the ones selling their advertising.

'The Grammys are the dream, the dream, you know when my wife got divorced... and sorry Kim to discuss this but it's the best example of what I have right now, she got a lot of backlash from the fans over it because somehow there dream was broken because she is a dream girl and they live vicariously through her.'I feel like [the Grammys] divorce from us every year, every year.

'There has to be some level of respect for the people that have there that sell advertising for them.'

 Kanye  says it was because Beyonce is so popular she did not get the award - and needed him to fight for her.

'I believe she didn’t move and run to the stage because she’s a respectful individual. But because she is so successful, a lot of times, success disables your ability to communicate exactly what the f**k you want to say!''I also wanted to stress to people that it’s not a black or white thing at all. It’s not me always standing up for a black artist.'
